Asda has launched a maternity leave mentoring scheme called Mum2Mum. The scheme aims to support women while on maternity leave with a view to retaining talent and facilitating maternity leavers’ return to work. Each maternity leaver will be assigned a mentor who is also a working mother and will be offered two or three face-to-face mentoring sessions in the 12 weeks prior to going on leave, email and telephone contact during leave and more mentoring sessions during the 6-9 month period following their return to work.
