Hard skills and practical tools for D&I practitioners and champions
Mercer’s full-day seminar, Foundations of Diversity & Inclusion Strategy and Practice, teaches participants proven methods for developing and implementing powerful D&I initiatives. Participants learn what makes diversity and inclusion take hold and how to make deep, lasting change. They walk away with tools they can use to apply the seminar’s lessons to their own organisations. (We frequently hear from former students, or from their colleagues, that those tools have circulated around their global organisations and are still in use.)
Foundations starts with the global and local context for D&I work, and then focuses on how to develop a strategy that speaks to the business in its own terms and how to win the support of important stakeholders. Participants learn to create action plans that integrate D&I into key management practices, to communicate D&I messages in the most impactful ways, and to apply the most useful metrics. Throughout the day, participants are engaging in small group action learning exercises and sharing experiences with other students from a variety of industries and backgrounds.
We recommend Foundations for diversity practitioners with 0-2 years experience in the field, EEO and Affirmative Action specialists who want to expand their knowledge of D&I management, ERG leaders and business champions, and HR generalists and specialists.
